The problem with our measurements are that we didn't know what angle to measure exactly. I do think their is an ideal angle to make a higher average of shots. You might not always make the shot when you use that angle because of your form, but your more likely too. This activity has to do with geometry because of the angle that you are shooting and then finding averages of your shots made and missed with that angle.
